The ski resort of Pamporovo is one of the most exciting investment locations in Bulgaria, thanks to its perfect position in the south of the country and its proximity to Greece. What makes it such a fantastic opportunity is the Perelik Project, which will turn Pamporovo into an integrated ski, golf and lake destination with year-round rental potential.
The Perelik Project
Pamporovo is about to come into its own as it forms a central part of the €200 million Perelik Project, which will connect the Smolyan lakes, Pamporovo, Perelik, one of the highest peaks in Bulgaria and the year-round resorts of Chepelare and Mechi Chal. The project will cover an area of around 27,000 hectares, with 127km of ski piste and 30 new ski lifts. Construction begins at the end of 2007, the first stage being to build an extra 15km of ski runs which will be completed in 2008. In addition, hotels are planned in Smolyan lakes area and the Raikovski Livadi resort village.
