La Loma Resort
An exclusive new golf resort with just 470 properties built on 525,000 square metres, La Loma has a Nicklaus Design 18 hole golf course and sports centre with 15 tennis courts, 2 multi-sports fields, a football pitch, Olympic size swimming pool, multi-sport indoor pavilion and a gymnasium.
Polaris World are the developers of this resort and they have commissioned the famous Mexican architect Jose de Iturbe to design La Loma. He is renowned for his works with the natural elements of space, light and colour which achieve a modern and slightly minimalist effect. His use of colour on the exteriors of the buildings with varying shades of brown, orange, pink and white, make La Loma quite unique.
The communal areas include the Tambor and Plaza de la Guitarra which are very attractive shopping areas with fountains, small squares, pavements and cycle paths that link the entire complex.

With the choice of three airports: Alicante is a 40 minute drive, San Javier 15 minutes or the brand new airport at Corvera even closer at 10 minutes, the resort is easily reached by road via the Murcia-San javier dual carriageway or Alicante-Cartagena motorway.
The Heart of La Loma
The Town Centre at La Loma has been designed so that it is constructed around a beautiful open and arched plaza in the shape of a guitar. The "neck" of the instrument is a stairway that leads to a waterfall which connects to the central fountain in the square. This trickles down to the "base" of the guitar which is a shady pergola acting as an ideal meeting place for residents. It is here in the Plaza del Guitarra that the 2,450 square metres of shops, bars, restaurants and supermarkets are located.
