Surroundings
Situated in the region of Murcia on Spain's eastern coastal area of the Costa Calida, the Hacienda Riquelme is in an area which is still relatively undiscovered and spoilt by the tourist industry.

Close to the Hacienda Riquelme is the beautiful Mar Menor warm saltwater lagoon. This is separated from the colder and rougher Mediterranean Sea by the Manga strip natural breakwater. Mar Menor is famous for its mud baths which have healing qualities for arthritis or rheumatism sufferers.

With an average of 320 days of sun every year this region offers the best of Southern Spain, but without a coastline of dense high rise buildings seen in some other parts of the country. In fact the idyllic landscape of this area mostly comprises mountains, natural parkland, almond and palm trees and windmills.

Location
